HELP!

Ok so I feel like my skin is jacked up! I have been getting hormonal acne on the bottom half of my face for quite some time and I am FED UP! I have tried EVERYTHING! Dr. Murad products seemed to help the most. I eat really well, and I drink tons of water so I really have no idea where this is all coming from. Well probably stress! But..I am seriously at the end of my rope and I need advice. Does anyone else suffer from this skin problem, and have some advice or suggestions for me on how to clear it up? I had the best acne free skin all growing up, I seriously feel like I have been going through puberty! I am not 12! Ok I am done with my rant..but if anyone has suggestions, I would love to know..because I will try anything!

UM, yeah. I agree with Deb, however, in your situation... You teach classes ALL day long. After each class go and wash your face. It may just be that you sweat and don't get a chance to wash it off. I get that too but if I wash RIGHT after it's not nearly as bad. Good luck! Love ya!

Hey Abs. Well this is what I have to say. Don't wear make up to your classes. It clogs pores. Sit in the sauna, it helps my skin wonderfully. Exfoliate, like your friend says!!!!! It's a must! Also change your pillow cases more often than you think, your hair products get into the fabric and it can transfer onto your skin, I change mine every other day. Oh Don't pick! Also ice helps with the redness. Um, well I can keep going so call me if you want. ;) LOve ya!!!!

BIRTH CONTROL! I never had zits growing up like Holly and Greg. BUt one summer BOOM! Zits EVERYWHERE! I have been on birth control since fall of...2003 I think and never had a problem. That is, until I get married and want to have babies! AH! haha. But that was the miracle pill for me. Good luck! I think you're beautiful no matter what.

So you commented on my post about this same thing so I must return the favor. I was the same way as you, I have NEVER had bad skin untill about 1 year ago. Man getting older SUCKS!! Anyway I did end up buying the Murad system and like it OK. I really didn't see any improvement so I actually went to a Endrocrinologist and there ended up being something hormonally wrong with me. It didn't matter WHAT is used or did to get clear skin if there was someing more serious going on with my body.

Maybe this is the case for you too, maybe not. I feel ya though, it sucks! I haven't been on my meds long enough for it to make a difference yet, so hopefully it works and that I finally found the cause. Good Luck with your quest for clear skin!

By the way I love all your posts. You are such a cute girl and have such a great outlook on life.

I was just reading your blog and i don't know if you are still having problems but i just started using a new brand of face cleansers by Kate Sommerville. I get them at Nordstrom. I have never used something that works as well as these products do! They have a few different product lines but the one i use is the Daily Detox. AND take time to wash your face after each of your classes. Sweat has a lot of bacteria from your body and if left on your already sensitive face it will definitely clog your pores! Hope this helps

I feel your pain Abby. I had the same problem. I tried washing my face right after class, no makeup to class, extra omega 3's, dermatologist, etc., etc., etc.

I finally also went to an endocrinologist and I have a low thyroid. Getting my thyroid balanced has really helped.

Might be a good idea to get your hormone and thyroid levels checked.
